Blessed Sacrament Catholic Preschool earns reaccreditation.
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Preschool in Grand Island has earned reaccreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The Preschool has been accredited since 2003.
"We're proud to have earned the mark of quality from NAEYC and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards," said Barb Seier, Director of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Preschool. "NAEYC accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early learning experiences possible. Our Preschool pledges excellence in promoting the development of a foundation of both learning skills and spiritual development."
To earn NAEYC accreditation, the Preschool went through a self-study process, measuring the program and its services against ten (10) NAEYC early childhood program standards and more than 400 related accreditation criteria. The program received NAEYC accreditation after an on-site visit. NAEYC-accredited programs are also subject to unannounced visits during their accreditaiton, which lasts for five years.

We chose Blessed Sacrament Preschool because we wanted a curriculum that challenged our preschool-age children while allowing for growth both socially and spiritually. After researching many local preschools, we were drawn to Blessed Sacrament because of the professionalism of the staff and the classroom structure and curriculum. Five of our children have attended Blessed Sacrament Preschool and we could not be more pleased with the education and guidance that they received!
Tena Herbek
Mom of Triplets:
We choose to send our children to Blessed Sacrament Preschool initially because we attended church there and liked the warm and friendly environment. We had heard many accolades about the Preschool program and, after meeting the teachers and staff, our confidence was high that we had chosen the right place. Our children always felt special while attending preschool there, and their transition to kindergarten has proven that they were more than prepared, but were well ahead of the curve. We strongly recommend Blessed Sacrament Preschool.
